“One of the great strengths is the breadth of students you’ll meet within the community.”

Rebecca Evans, Head

We’re proud of our vibrant international community and place huge value on diversity of ideas, experiences and perspectives and how this impacts our school culture.

Welcoming students from across the globe, we invite them to experience the rich cultural and academic opportunities that shape our shared journey together.

Our approach meets students wherever they are. Whether you need intensive English support or are ready to dive into GCSEs, A Levels or BTECs, we’ve created pathways that help everyone succeed.

Weekends

We’ve replaced traditional, termly exeat weekends with enriching ‘staycations.
So, instead of having to leave, students can choose to stay and enjoy exciting programmes and trips in September, November, January, and March.
These staycations are optional – students are still welcome to leave for these weekends if preferred. Our boarding houses close only during the Early May Bank Holiday weekend when all boarders return home or to guardians.

Joining Us

We consider each applicant individually, based on the following:

  • A report from your current school
  • Our English language assessment
  • An online interview with our Head, boarding staff, and EAL team

Most international students join in September at the start of the academic
year. Students for Years 7-9 or our Intensive English courses can join in January.
In our experience, settling into English boarding school life before starting exam
studies significantly improves final results.
