Our teachers are skilled at adapting their teaching to suit the needs of their pupils, whether those needs are short-term, long-term, or change over time. They are well-trained in up-to-date teaching strategies, and we foster a collaborative culture where expertise is shared, and fresh ideas are welcomed when extra support is needed.
Some pupils may find specific areas of learning more difficult and benefit from a short-term boost. In these cases, we offer targeted interventions—brief, focused programmes designed to build confidence and close gaps. These are reviewed regularly to monitor progress, and the aim is always to help the pupil feel ready to re-engage independently.
For pupils who find learning more challenging overall, we also offer specialist support. This may involve being withdrawn from certain subjects, such as Modern Foreign Languages, to spend time with a specialist teacher. These sessions focus on developing the core skills needed to access the curriculum and make meaningful progress at their own pace.
