A warm welcome from our Head,Rebecca Evans

;

It’s hard to put the Sibford difference into words. It’s a feeling – one of optimism, humanity and belonging.

Our purpose is to empower adventurous spirits, ready for life. And we do this by thinking creatively and progressively about education and personal growth. This is a school where every student is encouraged to discover, explore and challenge their potential. And they do. Students leave us with an inner confidence and a clear sense of where they want to go in life – for us, this is a measure of our success.

A progressive independent school, our aim is to empower young people with the self-belief, skills, and spirit to take their place in the world. We believe that academic success is driven by outstanding pastoral care and a well-rounded education – this underpins our school ethos.

Our unique school culture is born out of our Quaker origins. Fiercely values-led, our collective beliefs are fundamental to how we think and act, helping shape the young people our students become. As a school, we recently redefined our values to make sure they reflect the world we live in today.

We agreed on endeavour, respect, community and kindness – all things our world needs right now.

A commitment to the individual needs of each child is central to our approach. Our open and calm environment gives students the confidence and mindset to work to their full potential. As an independent school, we welcome the opportunity to enrich our curriculum, encouraging individuals to follow their own path, whether it’s a traditional academic one, creative arts, technology or horticulture. We value every discipline and small classes with dedicated teachers nurture, inspire and stretch students, giving them the space to unearth their talents and truly know themselves.

We place huge value on co-curricular activities, actively developing a rich timetable of activities. Beyond developing new skills and knowledge, these activities can inspire great friendships built on shared interests, fostering a deep sense of belonging. From mindfulness and meditation to horticulture and pottery – a well-rounded education teaches students a wealth of brilliant life skills. From creative thinking, agility, and resilience to leadership, collaboration, and emotional intelligence – all essential in helping them grow into good citizens and life-long learners.

My words don’t quite do Sibford justice. As a team, we’re passionate about human experience, collaboration and connection. If my words resonate with you, please do come and meet us – we would love to share the Sibford experience and get to know you and your family.

If you’d like to speak to me before visiting the school, do get in touch.
