Swimming lessons
Sibford School offers swimming lessons for children aged 4+. Lessons follow the Swim England framework and are split into the ability groups detailed below.

Lessons 16.00 – 18.00. Stages 1 – 7.
Tuesday
Lessons 16.30 – 19.00. Stages 1 – 7 and Sharks.
Wednesday
Lessons 16.00 – 18.00. Stages 1 – 7.
Thursday
Rookies Bronze/Silver/Gold 17.30 – 19.45.
Friday
Lessons 16.30 – 18.30. Stages 1 – 7.
Saturday
09.00 – 12.00. Stages 1 – 7 and Sharks.
Swim stages
Learn to Swim Stages 1-7
We follow Swim England Learn To Swim scheme. The Stage 1-7 Awards are divided into progressive stages. They make up the core, national syllabus of learning to swim for primary school aged children.

Sharks (Stages 8-10)
Once the swimmer has developed the core range of skills required to be confident, competent and safe in water, he/she can progress onto the ASA Aquatic Skills Framework stages 8, 9 & 10.

All costs for swimming lessons are based on a 11-week term.

Summer Holiday Swimming lessons
We are offering 30-minute group lessons across 4-days, between 9.30am – 12.00pm. Swimmers will be grouped by ability and then allocated a class time. For this purpose you will need to provide details about your child’s current swimming ability.

Please note, it may not be possible to offer classes for all Stages, however we endeavour to cater for demand wherever possible.
Rookie Lifeguards
The Rookie Lifeguard programme features both swimming and lifesaving skills and is open to children aged between 8 and 12 years. Your child will learn self-survival, CPR, First Aid and much more. On successful completion of the programme each Rookie Lifeguard will receive a Royal Lifesaving Society Rookie Lifeguard Certificate.
If you would like to enrol, we ask your child to be a Stage 5 or above and able to swim a minimum of 100 metres using a range of strokes.

Swimming Pool parties
Why not hold your child’s next birthday celebration at Sibford Swimming Pool? We currently host pool parties between 14.30 – 15.30 on Saturdays during term time. During school holidays we may offer alternative sessions.
Enjoy an hour’s exclusive use of the pool. We supply the pool, toys, water rafts and lifeguard, you just need to supply the party guests!
