As part of Activities Week, our Year 5 and 6 pupils spent three days at Bell Heath, near Belbroughton, enjoying an exciting programme of outdoor learning and adventure. Camping for two nights, pupils immersed themselves in a range of activities designed to develop confidence, resilience and teamwork. From high and low ropes courses and the quadpole to zipwires, tunnelling, hill walks and campfires, there were plenty of opportunities for pupils to challenge themselves and step outside their comfort zones. The trip was carefully planned around three key aims: to strengthen teamwork and communication skills, encourage pupils to embrace new challenges, and develop practical skills through shared experiences. Alongside the outdoor pursuits, pupils took part in a series of initiative tasks that required problem-solving, collaboration and leadership, with learning from these activities feeding into further work back at school. Throughout the trip, pupils demonstrated enthusiasm, determination and a willingness to support one another. It was wonderful to see friendships strengthened, confidence grow and new skills develop in such a positive and engaging environment. A special thank you goes to Nick Hadley, Katy Stotesbury and Hazel Sykes for supporting the trip and helping to make it such a memorable experience for all involved. Experiences like these are an important part of life at Sibford, helping pupils to learn beyond the classroom while developing the personal qualities that will support them throughout their education and beyond.
